Jobless claims were lower than expected, but employment growth is still sluggish.

Filings totaled 860,000 for the week ended Sept. 12, the Labor Department reported Thursday. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had expected 875,000, against the previous week's upwardly revised 893,000.The number represents a modest downshift in claims, which had hit a peak of 6.9 million in late March as the economy shut down to try to slow the coronavirus pandemic.

The economy faces new challenges now after a summer of strong employment growth. Economists and health-care professionals worry that a resurgence in Covid-19 cases could stall or reverse the gains the economy has seen in recent months.

More under counting of the unemployed, didn’t the current administration complain about the previous for this very same reason. Unemployment Statistics lies

Who the heck cares if it was lower than expected - how about reporting “it’s almost another million newly unemployed.” That would accurately reinforce the gravity of the situation.

Employment growth is still sluggish because blue states and cities are still pretending lockdowns work. Meanwhile there are many businesses that will never reopen due to overreaching and unconstitutional policies.

Well Duh Democrat governors shutdown businesses

Imagine what would happen if democrat governors would open their states.

That’s what happens when blue state governors continue to impede reopening of their economies.

Yay that’s great woo woo . Stupid motha fukkas
