The company, one of the most high-profile retailers to file for bankruptcy protection after being hit hard by the coronavirus, said it expects store closing sales to last around three months, and it will announce additional closures in the coming weeks. JCPenney filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on May 15. The pandemic's hit on sales was the final blow to a 118-year-old company struggling to overcome a mountain of debt.

my mom is the manager of a jcpenney store and we have been waiting to see if her store would close because her store smaller. i’m glad to say that her store wasn’t on this list.

I was in this country on deputation, and I took couture-chudidhars to wear. I wore them to work. Then there was an advisory banning ethnic-wear. Someone was going shopping, and invited me. They went to JCPenney, and I bought office-wear there. It was sale-time. I got it cheap.
