Regardless of where Jaxson Dart chooses to transfer, he’s going into a much better situation than the one he had at USC last season, says Crissy_Froyd. Here's why and where he could be headed. FrontOffice33 | CFB

Several quarterbacks are on the move this early in the offseason via the transfer portal with many notable names already finding their landing spot. Freshman quarterback Jaxson Dart, who took Kedon Slovis’ position at USC during this past season, has narrowed his transfer choices down to Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and TCU, according to a report from Gerry Hamilton of On3 Sports.

The second option, Ole Miss, seems like it could be the best possible choice for him of the three. Dart brings a lot of the same traits as a departing Matt Corral does between his arm talent, level of athleticism, and playstyle. It’s an easy situation to crack into, considering he should have the edge going up against Luke Altmyer and with John Rhys Plumlee, who played quarterback in addition to other positions, transferring out.

Over six games this season, Dart completed 117-of-189 passes for 1,353 yards with nine touchdowns and five interceptions—with two touchdowns on the ground. Those are decent numbers, which could have been even better if he wasn’t put in such a disadvantageous situation with the Trojans that never really gave him or Slovis a chance to succeed and play at their highest level. From the coaching staff to the supporting cast, both quarterbacks faced a lot of adversity in 2021.
