I read the original article and in it said that the lead researcher emphasized the importance of wearing a mask without spaces/leakages around the nose. This article is missing the most important message.
There is no big difference between 'well fitted' mask and double mask. You don't have to make it double or more, just fit it better.

The tittle of the article is misleading. The test compares tight woven v loose woven v two non-woven masks. Reuter has to correct the error to avoid misinformation spreading.

I didn’t think double masking actually did much either, but I do think you are less likely to take off two masks instead of just one. So if you wear your masks for longer periods of time, you form the habit, you start noticing when your not wearing one, etc.

Not an accurate summary of the study's results. The chart clearly shows a measurable (but not large) 8% gain in droplet collection efficiency. Study did not seem to address potential benefit of reducing air flow speed w/ 2 masks which could have spread reducing benefits.

This is bullshit. Why polyurethane for the outer layer, and not 2 ply cotton or mixed fabric? Why not test with a mask brace holding both layers tight to the face. Common sense says five layers, tightly fitted, are better. Whether it's 15% or 1%, who the fuck cares. It's better.

I wore both a K95 and BYD aqua blue mask today at the workplace. It's tight on the ear hooks. Breathabilty isn't much different with a single mask. The masks helps encourage blood concentration to the head. Like a hat which keeps overflow and blood clots in cognitive core.
