FILE - In this Jan. 8, 2020, file photo, Nissan's former Chairman Carlos Ghosn speaks at a press conference in Beirut, Lebanon. Tokyo prosecutors said Friday, July 3, 2020, that a request for extradition of two Americans arrested in the U.S. for allegedly helping Ghosn flee Japan while he was out on bail has been filed.
“We express our deepest gratitude for the cooperation the U.S. authorities have shown to our request,” the Tokyo District Prosecutors Office said in a statement. Japanese prosecutors have also been trying to bring Ghosn back to Japan, but Lebanon, unlike the U.S., does not have an extradition treaty with Japan.
Is that an English sentence? This is important news but your writers care trying too hard to get all the high impact words at the front.
No civilized country is giving its citizen to Japan. 99% Conviction rate, Human rights violations, forced confessions, solitary etc. but when JAPANESE KILL 16 AMERICANS and the US asks for their extradition, Japan say's NO. Wake up
Takata Execs killed 16 Americans and are roaming FREE in Japan. Extradition was refused. Now you want to cooperate? This is a big PR mistake and it will backfire.
I'm surprised at the nerve the Japs are displying... I mean their justic systm is flawed, Ghosn couldn't hav expected a fair trial & he'd be imprisoned until proven innocent, coz that's how their systm works. But rather than fixing their systm, they're trying to punish othr ppl.
Criminals? Check trump's list of employees.
Tell Japan to return American citizens kidnapped by Japanese parents.
“We express our deepest gratitude for the cooperation the U.S. authorities have shown to our request. “We plan to cooperate in all ways possible so the extradition procedures for the two can be carried out quickly.' Tokyo District Prosecutors Office
Japan, pray they’re not Trumpees.
Man, this year is crazy
