Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and members of her staff met virtually Tuesday with the House select committee investigating the January 6 attack on the US Capitol, a spokesperson for Benson said

Wimmer did not divulge much from what was discussed in the meeting, but said the topics included the 2020 presidential election and the events leading up to January 6.In addition to Benson, the committee has also interviewed Chris Thomas, a former longtime Michigan director of elections who was brought in during the 2020 election to oversee absentee ballot processing at the TCF Center in Detroit. Thomas said he was interviewed about a month ago by the committee.
