Friends, I’m going to say this as plainly as I can: people are dying from COVID-19. A lot of people.

This isn’t a US-only problem, it is a worldwide pandemic that isn’t going to get better until we have a vaccine. But until we have one, we are going to have to take proper precautions. We are going to have to wear masks in public, and social distance. We have to take it seriously as a group, all of us, every single one of us. Whether we’ve been personally affected or not.

200,000 dead is not just a number. Those were real people, who had real lives, and just because you didn’t have a connection with them doesn’t mean that their deaths shouldn’t give you an overwhelming pause. All of this, every safety precaution, is an example of love and empathy for your fellow humans. So wear your mask, wash your hands, keep your distance, and take this virus as the real deal. Lives are depending on it.

The realist in me says, “What the hell?” SOME act like death is a a NEW thing since COVID-19, that old people didn’t die from the flu in past flu season, that no one dies from cancer, heart attack or stroke. I work for a Swedish company & Swedes isolated the vulnerable ONLY!!!

Brazil reaches 150,000 deaths from COVID-19 milestoneBrazil’s COVID-19 death toll has surpassed 150,000, second only to the U.S. “When I see 150,000, I see my father alongside many other faceless bodies,” said Naiane Moura, who lost her father to the virus in April. What I see ridiculous in President Trump, is that Joe Biden betrayed the blacks, when everyone knows, that he is the racist, and that he keeps the country divided and polarized, destroying the basis of equality, on which this nation was founded. And this is not unusual for Brazil which has had these pandemics before with equally nasty results

The COVID-19 grind seems unbearable — but it’s not foreverOPINION: The pandemic grind of trying to work from home while managing children and avoiding a deadly virus seems unbearable, Mitch Tuchman writes. But it's not forever, and eventually we will get the upper hand on the coronavirus. Get up late, drink 12 cups of coffee, fake a meeting meeting or two, take a long shit, stay in your pyjamas til bed time, ignore the kids as usual. Not unbearable - pretty fucking idyllic. For weak minded people sure 🙄
