It's not for me: speed of COVID-19 vaccine race raises safety concerns

BRUSSELS/LONDON - The frenetic race to develop a COVID-19 vaccine has intensified safety concerns about an inoculation, prompting governments and drugmakers to raise awareness to ensure their efforts to beat the coronavirus aren’t derailed by public distrust.

Regulators around the world have repeatedly said speed will not compromise safety, as quicker results would stem from conducting in parallel trials that are usually done in sequence. All the tests and safety precautions stages 1, 2 and 3 trials are as normal the accelerated rate is due to cash injection from governments and basically the great need for a vaccine.

I was all for one especially when AZ joined forces with Oxford Uni to produce a vaccine. Now AZ is stating its vaccine may need to be taken once a year, forever! WTF! A money making scheme off the back of a pandemic. All the vaccine developers doing the same, trying to get RICH!

This administration has made it unequivocally, unambiguously, clear that they don't give a damn about public health and safety. I will only take a vaccine vetted by the EU and other international medical communities that has been proven safe through uncompressed medical reviews.
