Salt Lake City meets water conservation goal, saving 2.9B gallons of waterSalt Lake City Public Utilities says there was a big water reduction this summer as residents stepped up during the ongoing drought. I would dare to bet that most of the water savings is actually due to the local state and city governments finally doing something productive on water saving measures instead of constantly expecting citizens to water less. Business should of done the same. I know my didn't. Water was on practically every night. In other news, alfalfa farmers used up every drop they could. Salt Lake is getting more empty all the time. Perhaps curtailing municipal water usage isn't going to put much of a dent in the problem.

However, maybe it should be the police that pay the settlements, instead of citizen taxes. The tax payers allow police to run amuck with out accountability. Tax payers should pay restitution. I have no problem with this. I do have a problem this cop will be keep his job, or go to the next town and get a job as a cop. We need to fix this broken system.
