The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is set to update its mask advice this week to best reflect the available options and the different levels of protection they provide, a CDC official told CNN Tuesday. Many experts say cloth and surgical masks don't provide enough protection, and instead encourage N95 or FFP2 coverings. Upgraded masks are already the norm in much of Europe. Germany mandates FFP2 coverings in stores, on public transport and in other public places.
I totally agree...if everyone consciously put on a facemask (with our nose and mouth properly covered) the spread of these deadly viruses will be limited and in turn reduced cases of death.

I understand. Problem: one size does not fit all. Some may not fit at all on a person's face=leaks on 75% of sides. Wearing size 12 clothes when you're a size 6 works about the same; only the belt holds it on. Also, wearing glasses makes it worse

they did during the first 7-8 month wave. they started charging expensive prices for N95 masks ($8) or they became scarce to find. people made their own because they couldn't afford it.

N95 / KN95 gets pricy given you can't wash them like the other cloth type.
