More than 10,000 people have responded to Israeli Adi Karmon Scope’s Facebook plea to help overworked health-care professionals on the frontline of the country’s battle against the coronavirus pandemic.
In Israel, more than 10,000 people have contracted the coronavirus and 92 have died. The government has imposed severe restrictions on movement to try to quell the rapid spread, including a near-closure on especially vulnerable neighborhoods. “We’ve seen all the medical teams in Italy and in China and we kind of wanted to make sure that our medical teams are taken care of, all their personal lives are taken care of so they can really focus only on being professional and at their best in the hospitals,” said Karmon Scope.

I really hope they are able to contain the spread ASAP and not let it get out of hand But the politicians, media, etc. saw it as a problem over there. Instead they focused on elections, economy, rail blockages etc. Now everyone points fingers at everyone else for not acting soon enough. Sad. Are the Saudis responsible? Believe so. They now want to back off in their attacks on Yemen. Speaking of the Saudis they don't seem to be reporting any coronavirus contamination. (Maybe the 'oil baths' combat the virus.)
