ICYMI: Iowa Rep. Steve King has lost his bid for reelection. King has a long history of making racist and incendiary comments, including wondering out loud to The New York Times last year why 'white supremacist' is an offensive term.

Rep. Steve King faced criticism for his comments on abortion, including when he questioned whether there would be"any population of the world left" if not for births due to rape and incest.Rep. Steve King faced criticism for his comments on abortion, including when he questioned whether there would be"any population of the world left" if not for births due to rape and incest.

First elected in 2002, King faced the toughest primary campaign of his career in Iowa's 4th Congressional District, trailing in the polls with a limited cash supply and minimal advertising. He faced an onslaught of challengers feeding off of his vulnerability because of his inflammatory rhetoric. "The 4th District needs a seat at the table, an effective conservative voice," stressed Feenstra in a May debate hosted byFeenstra represented the most likely threat to King's reelection, raising $925,849 this cycle, compared with King's $330,000,Also challenging King were former Irwin Mayor Bret Richards, former state representative and Woodbury County supervisor Jeremy Taylor, and real estate developer Steve Reeder.

Scholten is returning for a second swing at the seat this year and ended up without any competition in the Democratic primary.

Oh, please, let it be karma turning the tables. 🙏

bye bye

if only the democrats would deal so decisively with their members who are blatant antisemites. The couldn't even condemn by name one of their own members who repeatedly rattled off antisemitic comments on recorded video. Not part of the NPR narrative.

BeverlyDry1 Oh man, I remember that. So inflammatory...

Pack your shit, Steve, and hit the road.

So glad he's gone!!

Some good news!

👋 Boy, fuckin good bye.

Sadly, the Republican nominee, Randy Feenstra, is also a racist, one who believes that coronavirus is a conspiracy from China.

SteveKingIA Bye bye racist pig SteveKing

Speaking for all the women out there THANK GOD!!!!

Я переживаю

Thoughts and prayers

He lost his primary race because he was an ineffective white supremacist, not because he is a white supremacist. He was beaten by someone that carries the same views through actions but doesn't publicize his contempt for POC or equality.

Our Grand Old Party has been subverted by thug racist who want to turn America into a police state. They declare Antifa terrorist, but not the KKK, Nazis or Aryan Nations? This hypocrisy is clear to all America. Our GOP has lost its' Christian compass and replaced it with a club.

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽

Apparently there *is* a limit to how much racism Iowa's fourth will consider appropriate.

The quote from NYT makes me want to vomit for an entire days
