Internal watchdogs for the departments of Justice, Homeland Security, Defense and the Interior are launching reviews of how law-enforcement and security officials planned for and responded to the Capitol riot, including what they knew ahead of the attack

The inspectors general will focus on what federal agencies knew before the Jan. 6 rampage in which thousands of pro-Trump rioters stormed the halls of Congress as lawmakers were ratifying Joe Biden’s election victory, as well as their actions that day. A woman and a Capitol Police officer were killed and three others died of medical emergencies during the melee.

U.S. law-enforcement officials have since acknowledged that they underestimated the potential for violence during what they assumed would be a largely peaceful political rally with some violent agitators, as had been the case during other recent demonstrations. Federal agencies have also been criticized for being slow to respond as backup for Capitol Police officers once it was clear the mob had breached the building.

A central question to the watchdog reviews is what the agencies knew and shared ahead of the attack. The Department of Homeland Security’s inspector general said it would look at how the agency provided intelligence to law enforcement, as the Justice Department’s watchdog said it would examine how that information was shared.

The Justice Department's watchdog said it would “also assess whether there are any weaknesses in DOJ protocols, policies, or procedures that adversely affected the ability of DOJ or its components to prepare effectively for and respond to the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.”

Law enforcement officials take an Oath to protect and serve as long as you wear that uniform it doesn’t matter which party you support, you cannot go out and interfere nor participate in protest. Time to revisit the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics.

Yeah... that didn’t go well, did it?

It's simple. Trump told them to step back and stand down.

If DJT is impeached for this, those who allowed for the riots to take place PHYSICALLY are much more obviously the culprits. The order of judgment needs clarity.

Fbi learned the effects of coca leaf. The all of a sudden in Days find culprits where the ones of summer of love are still free. No. Because democrats run with impunity and they thought it was Republicans lmao
