Injury Forces Original Owner To Sell 1966 Mustang Shelby GT350 At Auction | Carscoops carscoops

John Zeggert is the first and only owner of thisis the perfect track car, Zeggert says that it mostly remained on the street because of a driving instructor that warned him what would happen if he missed the braking zone. Instead, John chose to buy another, less special, Mustang to use on the track.

Originally the pony car was powered by a 289 cubic inch V8 producing 306 horsepower, but somewhere along the way Zeggert added a Paxton supercharger, bumping that number up to around 500.The car remains remarkably original, still sporting its original wiper blades and spare tire, among the body and engine parts. The odometer reads just 29,431 miles , which is due to Zeggert’s career sending him abroad.

The vehicle almost had to be sold along with the rest of Zeggert’s fleet when his stock in General Motors went through the floor, but he held on tight to the Shelby even though the financial hardship. Zeggert is now selling the car because of an injury he sustained falling off of a roof that he was working on. He broke several bones, including his hip, and can’t comfortably drive it because of the manual transmission.That’s what we would do, but it will be nice to give somebody else the chance to enjoy the muscle car.
