If you raise the minimum wage, production and distribution costs will rise as well. In turn, product prices rise. If minimum wage goes from $7.50 an hour to $15 an hour, the price of a McDonalds Big Mac, which is like $6, will just double to $12. It’s called inflation.

All it does is raise consumer prices. That is why we are paying $7 for a flipping quarter pounder, $6 for a latte and $4 for a gallon of milk. It squeezes out the small businesses and causes the big companies to pass the cost onto consumers. It is economics 101.
