Muslims were caught off guard last week, when the UK government suddenly announced local lockdowns in a slew of areas in northern England where cases have spiked. The announcement came just hours before Eid al-Adha, one of the holiest festivals in Islam. The affected areas included Greater Manchester, Burnley, Blackburn with Darwen, Bradford and Leicester -- all places with a significant Islamic population according to the Muslim Council of Britain .
Tell MAMA director Iman Atta told CNN that far-right extremists had been blaming Muslims for the pandemic since the beginning of the UK's lockdown in March."In March, April, May, we saw a lot of conspiracy theories floating around," she said."The far right were sharing photos of Muslims congregating and flouting the rules at mosques which were, in reality, shut down and not functioning. The photos were from last year," she said.
Before that the beaches were full of people and so were parks and some how a muslim gathering of 2-3 hours last week is blamed ....🙄🙄
It'll be very difficult to handle this pandemic if certain facts suddenly need to be weighed differently. There have been reports that minorities are hardest hit by this pandemic & that flare-ups are very often seen among immigrants in the West. Pls don't distort facts to suit PC

At the beginning, there was a frenzied attack on China, and then racial discrimination. Now it is a Muslim. Some people have used the epidemic to achieve a certain purpose and successfully tore society into hate and attack groups. We must unite and not discriminate.

I’ve seen loads of stuff on Facebook being outraged by Eid gatherings. Yet the same people complaining said nothing about V day, people on beach, protesting to protect statues and drinking in the parks yet suddenly it is the Muslims fault. The hypocrisy is incredible!
