Venezuela? Other coups? There are several reasons why this will take a lot of time too implement. The cost to install a charger in an older home is up to $5,000. Where will people who reside in apartments charge the cars? There need to be a major upgrade to the electrical grid to support these cars. Can someone please explain the need for electric vehicles? Over 60% of our electricity comes from fossil-based fuels. The nation is in the grips of an electrical grid nightmare with power outages and rolling blackouts, but heck, less just add more to an already burdened system.
