Biden touts electric vehicle goals as boon for climate, economy and jobsPres. Biden signed an executive order setting a goal that half of all new vehicles sold by 2030 are zero emissions vehicles, specifically electric vehicles powered by batteries or fuel cells or hybrid-electric vehicles. I would be surprised if there are any gas vehicles on new car lots by 2030. How burning more coal to produce the extra electricity is going to benefit the environment? An executive order a Republican President will cancel in 2024.

Biden targets 50 percent clean car sales by 2030President Biden will sign an executive order today setting a target that half of all new vehicle sales by 2030 will be zero-emissions vehicles, primarily electric cars and trucks Where will USA get precious minerals for batteries? Venezuela? Other coups? There are several reasons why this will take a lot of time too implement. The cost to install a charger in an older home is up to $5,000. Where will people who reside in apartments charge the cars? There need to be a major upgrade to the electrical grid to support these cars. Can someone please explain the need for electric vehicles? Over 60% of our electricity comes from fossil-based fuels. The nation is in the grips of an electrical grid nightmare with power outages and rolling blackouts, but heck, less just add more to an already burdened system.
