ICM Partners has named Julia Johnson as its new general counsel and executive vp, head of business and legal affairs to get to gender parity overall among the Hollywood agency's leadership ranks.
Johnson's hire at ICM marks another female department head named at the talent agency, which gets ICM to over 50 percent of all departments now run or co-run by women. That trend includes Courtney Kelley named this year as head of human resources, Jennifer Joel tapped last year as head of the publications department, joining Esther Newberg, and Kathleen Remington named to lead the Motion Picture Literary division.in Dec. 2017.
“We did a long and thorough search to fill this vitally important position within our agency and Julia’s experience, credentials, winning reputation and personality make her a perfect fit for ICM Partners. We could not be happier or prouder to have her join our senior executive team,” Harris and Crotty said in a joint statement.
