1. Sure would be a crappy day for you if all the staff in your ER weren't there because they all quit their jobs to stay at home with their kids.3. She is 15 minutes down the road, staying with someone she loves and who loves her. We didn't just wake up and decide to leave her with a stranger!

TheLastRefuge2 Many people are in this sad position. Kudos to the nurse and everyone else for helping others. However, many divorced parents w/shared custody had to make the hard decision ‘to comply’ and have one parent keep their kid(s). The other gets stuck with phone calls, FaceTime, etc.

Figure out which guilt is bearable. My advice to you, since you're already exposed and your child is in good hands (I supposed), is to focus on staying safe so you can go back to your family when this whole thing is over. God bless you and thank you for doing what you do.
In this profession, you'll be faced with 2 guilts 1. If you quit and stay home with your child, are you ok knowing that it's your job to care for patients but decided not to? 2. The guilt of infecting your child bc you didn't want to send them away while you're exposed.
