I set a goal to move 30 minutes each day.Setting the goal of moving just 30 minutes every single day no matter how hard, fast, or slow I went made the biggest difference. This was monumental. It gave me little tiny wins every time I got up and started moving. The tiny wins felt like I was accomplishing something to help me live again and reach my goals.
I worked on self-acceptance.I learned to become more accepting of myself and my reflection before I ever started towards losing weight. The self-acceptance took the pressure off of losing weight so when I made a “mistake” I was able to just keep going without guilt, shame or pressure.
I learned how to stop myself from spiraling.I learned not to spiral into chaos because of one human choice to eat outside of my plan. I used to beat myself up because I ate something that was “forbidden” or just not ‘diet’ food. But now if it happens, I’m a little lighter on myself and it lets me continue the day without continuing to spiral into a binge. headtopics.com
