Yes, I’m 47, but that doesn’t mean I must conform to any kind of stereotype of what a 40-something woman should dress like. There are no rules when it comes to fashion – and many brands need to wake up to the fact that women over 40 don’t just suddenly want to wear elasticated waists and comfortable shoes.
. I wanted to give representation to the many women out there who weren’t seeing themselves reflected back in the media. I wanted to show women that it’s OK to love and experiment with their clothes. That fashion is not just for women in their 20s and 30s. We generally have more disposable income in our 40s, so we have the spending power, too.
I have worked as a fashion editor and stylist for over 25 years and, if anything, I'm experimenting more as I get older. I love shopping high end and the high street, but. It’s all about wearing what you love, what feels right for you, and not worrying about the silly rules that we’ve heard time and time again that are so terribly outdated now.
We have some of the best high street stores in the world and this season's collections are looking so good right now. We have countless options at different price points allowing us to really get excited about our clothes.
