Cinema needs film makers who aren’t stuck in the 80s
Jealous much? Marvel movies give me ALL the feels. His movies, to me, are reworkings of the same story with usually the same actors. Yawn.
Movies like Marvel's help keep cinemas afloat so that they can show less popular product as well. If you focus the other way around, cinemas would have to shut down in a year as profit margins are slim. You may bulk at the price of popcorn, but it pays the bills.

The stepping up cinemas need is to drop the price. Theaters are showing “narrative films”, but audiences are only seeing event films because it’s expensive to go to the movies frequently. That’s the real reason original films aren’t doing well. People are cautious w/ their money

I’m old enough to remember when there was room at the cinema for everything. Big studio films, small indies, crime dramas, screwball comedies, deep character studies, silly romps at the beach, giant monsters... It used to all coexist just fine, what does Marty think happened
It’s one thing to not like those kinds of films but to advocate for theaters to quit showing them entirely because YOU don’t like them is peak entitlement. He needs to stop now
