The MCU thrived without Spider-Man for its first 8 years. It'll be fine without him. Sure, I'd like him to stay but the MCU isn't going to collapse now.
Most of the charm of the franchise came from the movies made under the Marvel aegis. Throwing out the relationship between the MCU characters will be Sony's loss - even if they keep Tom Holland.
A couple points 1) The James Bond franchise thrived even after changes in casting, studios, and producers. 2) Spider Man franchise will be fine at Sony if they hand it to a decent leader: an in-house equivalent of a JJ Abrams or Christopher Nolan.
