It’s a new day, in which Black Lives Matter protests have ushered in an era of zero tolerance, and where brand founders are being called out for racist behavior. I spoke with Daniele-Jocelyne Otou, change seeker and founder of Female Department, about the steps to take to create lasting change.

Protests in the midst of a pandemic, while fighting the biggest pandemic of them all: anti-black racism.

We had a long talk about the current climate and why it’s critical to show your allyship and call out brands, corporations and conferences for having zero representation. In other words, what part of activism resonates with you? You don’t need to be doing all the things.
