Saudi crown prince faces renewed scrutiny after Jeff Bezos' phone is hacked

Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi was a Saudi palace insider who wrote scathing opinion pieces about the kingdom’s leadership.

But at home, policies intended to telegraph a progressive stance — greater freedoms for women, opening the country for tourism, defanging the religious police — have coincided with harsh repression of dissent. Human rights groups and some Western governments have spoken out against the imprisonment and allegedEven amid the outcry after Khashoggi’s killing, international businesses have gone ahead with Saudi investments, though with less fanfare.

“What the tech industry does will be contingent on what the U.S. response will be,” Behar said. “People in the industry will be thinking ‘Are we going to get hacked, and is the money worth it?’’’An allegation centered on reckless use of technology is awkward, to say the very least, for an overall Saudi business strategy undergirded by the kingdom’s push to modernize its tech infrastructure and market itself as a mecca for startups and entrepreneurship.

Early last year, the Amazon chief disclosed that the parent company of the National Enquirer had threatened to publicize private texts and pictures pointing to an extramarital affair. He fought back against what he characterized as a crude blackmail attempt by acknowledging the existence of the material in a post on the website Medium.

Better to have phone hacked than to have been hacked up, bodily. MBS knows of both methods to deal with his enemies.

Then consider what's been reported about the whatsapp history between MBS & Jared Kushner!

A repeated story. No official reaction by America because the story is not important. Why is the story being used to undermine U.S.-Saudi relations.

Even after Cyber Security Experts already debunked Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos' conspiracy theories, some media are still trying to push it because it serves their political agenda. Reports already uncovered that it was Jeff's lover's brother, Michael Sanchez who sold these secrets.

All these accusations are ridiculous and illogical and have been proven fabricated, backed by evidence! Relations between Saudi Arabia and the USA will be stronger, especially in the face of terrorism and countries that support terrorism, such as Iran, Qatar, and Turkey

the phone is hacked? i think experts, whatsapp, and facebook have a different opinion, the report is missing the most important point.. the evidence!

Concerning that, the kingdom has been always moving forward, and reforming the laws, in a way that they ensure they have a dignified life for their citizenz they will not bother this absurd idea that was proved to be wrong years ago.

Some media are still ignoring the report of cybersecurity experts, which saying that he relied heavily on circumstantial evidence for the purpose of proof & that investigation process left several questions,& (FTI) is not well-known among companies in cyber criminal investigations

cyber security experts were quick to notice the lack of sophistication in the analysis with some pointing that after FTI does not seem to have any expertise in the field whatsoever as much as WhatsApp and Facebook has already denied and dismissed the idea of the hack story

this man killed American journalist and did that maniacally cruelly..all this phone accusations is just a circus..he must face a real penalty. American terror as we saw many times can attack any innocent people but can not deal with real tyrant, American regime is tyranny-friend

As others have mentioned, the hacking was not proven in report commissioned by Bezos. While he may believe his Twitter post was witty, it really serves to illustrate a man hell-bent on revenge no matter what he has to do or say to exact it.

Is this dude a loose cannon? The royal family had one. All families have a relative that’s a bit coo coo.

TBF Jeff is fair game karma

'The mayor of the 2nd largest LGBT population in the country (possibly the world) chatting it up with a guy that executes gay people' on that same day in 2018.

JeffBezos want to link SaudiArabia with JaredKushner and KhashoggiMurder .... get his phones and look at his WhatsApp text.

drumr54

There is no evidence that could link MBS to the alleged hack.

LOL. Considering that the prince is a murderer ...

Cyber security concluded that there is no evidence regarding this fake story and you still spreading fake news

Surprised the country which produced the 911 hijackers, Bin Laden, Al Qaeda/ISIS, Pensacola terrorists and murdered a WAPO journalist is able to convince trump to destroy IT’S arch enemy Iran. But then again - they funnel $$ to trump business and attack HIS enemy, the free press.

We got use to your fake news ..'

Bozos'brother in-law sold it to the tabloid. Sour looser. The price won't pay for his lose.

Well, Bezos has defamed WhatsApp Also, Amazon CEO fooled the UN to take his side... but wait there is no side because his story is a daydream that would sold well in books fantasy section. MBS does not care about Bezos love life

He is not facing any thing coz there are no single evidence against MBS

We got use to your fake news !

The whole hacking claim has been refuted by cyber security experts and Facebook, yet the FAKE NEWS media keeps pushing with the same story which simply proves that Trump was right calling you FAKE NEWS media.

He is trump's hitman.

This guy has got some smile. Don’t let him sell you a car.

well they say cutting up dissidents with a bone saw is really a gateway crime so

He's alot funner than the old stuffy king.

Murderer

What about Merkle's home phone? Not a second look?

Trump made the deal to flatten everything on the route needed for the Saudi pipeline to Europe.

No worries. Protecting the murderous Prince is the sum total of Jared’s Middle East grift - I mean plan.

Murdering a man with a bone saw is now getting attention for hacking a phone

This guy is a bad dude no matter how you look at it.

I think he deserves a MOAB sent from an Amazon drone. If I was one of the worlds richest men and some scumbag hacked my phone he would have already been dealt with.
