How Loki's Mobius & TVA Would React To Doctor Strange 2 Events

Loki season 1 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron explains how Mobius and the Time Variance Authority would respond to the events of the latest MCU movie. Tom Hiddleston's Loki has established himself as one of the more beloved characters within the Marvel universe, resulting in the actor getting his own television show on Disney+. This series introduced the Time Variance Authority, an organization that sought to keep the Sacred Timeline intact.

Following up on the events of WandaVision, Loki, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the latest Marvel movie to hit theaters. It sees Benedict Cumberbatch's sorcerer return as he seeks to protect multiverse hopping hero America Chavez from Scarlet Witch.

“I imagine Mobius is out there watching this on a monitor, having to light up a cigarette and saying, ‘Oh my god,’ I guess we’ll have to wait and find out what that means for those guys.” While there were no obvious connections between Loki and Doctor Strange 2, the two are thematically linked by Phase 4's overarching concerns with the multiverse. What happened in Multiverse of Madness is sure to have ripple effects across the entire MCU and those effects will surely be examined in Loki season 2, which is due to begin filming quite soon.

What this means for the future of the Disney+ show, the only one to receive a second season pick up, is unclear. With Johnathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror likely to play a major role in Loki season 2 and the MCU at large, it's clear there are more multiverse-hopping shenanigans in store for the MCU. It's even possible that Doctor Strange 2 has set up MCU's Secret Wars plot.
