The House has voted to end American involvement in the Yemen war, rebuffing the Trump administration’s support for the military campaign led by Saudi Arabia.

It’s the first time Congress has invoked the decades-old War Powers Resolution to try to stop U.S. involvement in a foreign conflict.

Rep. Eliot Engel , chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said Congress “is no longer going to ignore its constitutional obligations when it comes to foreign policy.” The war is in its fifth year. Thousands have been killed and millions are on the brink of starvation in what the United Nations calls the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.

House panel votes to subpoena former White House official over security clearancesThe move comes after whistleblower Tricia Newbold’s allegation that her superior, Carl Kline, overruled multiple clearance denials and then retaliated against her when she objected. FYI: duly elected President has executive privilege to give anyone Security clearance. Just more liberal propaganda from The Washington Post. Is the Washington Post failing faster than the New York times,? I'm glad the Trump and his Republican thugs are being introduced to the word: accountability. The word has been absence from government since 2016.
