pandemic. However, since restrictions have loosened up in some areas, a lot of people are going to restaurants and eating/drinking outside.
Here's why you shouldn't be tipping 20% if you're dining out:It's not like they're doing more work or anything:They're not exposed to strangers, who may or may not be practicing the proper pandemic protocol:It's not like they have to take extra trips or deliver drinks and food in longer distances because everything is outdoors now:
This approach feels a little dated
Why did you tweet this article again? Delete this, there are people who don’t get sarcasm and would believe this article NOT to tip their server. This is rude!
Pay them appropriately bc tipping is BS. Makes customers uneasy, servers get screwed. Oh and the argument of the level of service...takes care of itself.
If restaurants paid a proper wage, tips wouldn’t be an issue, they would be paid.
Definitely tip your servers big.out of respect.
Not surprised BuzzFeed laid off 50 of the 74 people furloughed since the pandemic. They write trash articles, not even worthy of clicking.
Im like 100% sure this is a trap.
Never thought I'd miss the 'pick a salad dressing and we'll tell you if your dad loves you or not' articles.
Delete this article or at least change the headline. This is pure trash. Do better
Time to tip MORE!
Hospitality Household here...your sarcasm on such an important topic (esp in these times) really is NOT appreciated. Do better, . Do better.
This title is tone deaf. Delete this.
Leave 20% or don’t eat out 🤷🏼♀️
Quit posting this. It’s not funny or even smart.
I do be tipping 30+%
Y’all really didn’t get dragged hard enough the first time y’all posted this bs so you came came back again huh
...y'all really pushed this article huh. people went at you for posting it the first time, adding winking gifs to it doesn't make it any better. guess what, the type of people this article is for do not usually read past headlines. they see what they want and run with it.
people shouldnt rely on tips in the first place, give them a decent income
Umm you should leave a tip, if it’s big or not. And tip your fucking Uber and Lyft drivers
When I tell you I almost emailed corporate over this goddamn article title alone 😭😂
Delete this article, there are people who cannot comprehend sarcasm and will believe this ridiculous article.
*googles 'how to delete a website that isn't yours'*
Great now I feel like a jerk for tipping the Dunkin' Donuts cashier $2
this is so stupid and embarrassing. clickbait jokes for people being forced to put their lives at risk? such a funny quirky headline though! 🙃🙃🙃
AND...20% is what’s generally expected. You’re obviously a 10% tipper ryanschocket and you think 20% is an excessively big tip. Dining out is for people that can afford it. If ur rationalizing leaving a small tip, ur the one person that restaurants want to make a meal at home.
Ummm...following “proper pandemic protocol” is not the equivalent of not being exposed to the virus. Folks are still removing masks to eat food. Plus, I’m sure that servers aren’t expecting bigger tips...they’re just expecting people to tip. 🤦🏽♂️
Hey, I like sarcasm and all, but this isn’t the place for it. RyanSchocket, change the title and delete this tweet.
We should normalize paying service industry workers an appropriate hourly rate so they don’t rely on tipping to get paid. I get paid at work whether I am busy or not. It should be the same for restaurants and bars.
I mean I had assumed the thing would just say “bc you should be home it’s a pandemic”

Good its satire
Not funny, mention that you’re being sarcastic in the headline jerks
Why that stupid headline It’s not funny and its misleading.
Friggin clickbait.
Here's Why You Shouldn't Attempt Sarcasm in a Headline. People get irritated at being tricked by the complete absence of a clue that it's sarcasm.
This is elitist as fuck
Please add “SARCASM” to the headline.
Being that way back, I used to be a server myself. I tip 20% nothing wrong with that.
Sarcasm ALWAYS translates well in text on the internet 🙄 dumb
I guarantee no one I tip agrees with this
I was *this close* to reading Buzzfeed a new asshole.
Ummmmm no
Haha. You guys got me. I was like WHAT? I almost always tip 20%!
i know y'all are trying to go for a satirical route, but some people actually take you seriously. this isn't the time for sarcasm, because we all know some numbnut's gonna take this literally. shoulda kept this in the drafts.
Whoever wrote this is an idiot

U almost started screaming at you. Good job 👏🏽👏🏽
