, the closest thing the video game industry has to the Oscars, and this seems like the show we’ve all settled on to fill that role, courtesy of the hard work of master of ceremonies, Geoff Keighley. The show kicks off at 8:30 PM ET tonight and you can watch it pretty much anywhere that streams video like Twitch or YouTube.
I thought that before tonight happens, it would be good to go through the nominees once again and see everything nominated. I have my own predictions for who is going to win tonight, and whowin based on my own personal preference. I am not in the cool kids club who gets to vote on these things, so my opinion carries no weight here.
I am not going to do predictions for every category as there are just too many, but I will for the major ones. The Game Awards has aof awards, including breakdowns for each genre of game, so most of them don’t actually end up given out on stage. I think this could be slimmed a bit, but it’s gotten better over the years.
