“Black cadets at VMI have long faced repeated instances of racism on campus, including horrifying new revelations of threats about lynching, vicious attacks on social media, and even a professor who spoke fondly of her family’s history in the Ku Klux Klan,” wrote the Democratic governor in a letter accusing the school of sustaining a “clear and appalling culture of ongoing structural racism.”
In a subsequent letter issued to the VMI community, Peay said he did not think the school had a problem with structural racism, which was echoed by the president of VMI’s Board of Visitors John Boland who said: “systemic racism does not exist here and a fair and independent review will find that to be true.”
But on Monday, Peay tendered his resignation, citing the fact that legislative leaders had “lost confidence” in his leadership and “desired” he step down.“We accept it with deep regret,” wrote Boland in response, applauding Peay as a “great American, patriot and hero” who served “exceptionally well for more than 17 years.”

Cowboys QB Andy Dalton suffers concussion on huge hit to head from Washington LB Jon BosticCowboys QB Andy Dalton had to be helped off the field after Washington's Jon Bostic leveled a hit that earned the linebacker an ejection. He should be suspended after a nasty hit on Andy Dalton that wasn't necessary at all I'd say at least a two game suspension and a hefty fine. So that's why Dallas was stomped. I don't even know who their third QB is.
