The unprecedented wave of Haitian migrants at the U.S. southern border is also causing a migration crisis in Mexico, which now must contend with thousands of asylum seekers turned back by the U.S.

Thousands of Haitians crossed into U.S. from Mexico, but now have returned south of the border to avoid deportation to Haiti by U.S., straining Mexico’s resources

An employee checked the documents of a migrant from Haiti outside Mexico’s refugee agency on Wednesday in Mexico City, and Mexican officials say they have been overwhelmed by the number of Haitians seeking to remain in Mexico.

Giving Up on Del Rio, Texas, Haitian Migrants Return to Mexico to Avoid U.S. DeportationThe U.S. began flying some migrants back to Haiti, a country where many haven’t lived for years and that is reeling from a recent earthquake, a presidential assassination and gang violence. “I can’t go home,” one woman said. “There is no law or safety.” The Haitians have a better case for asylum than many other groups that try to enter the USA 🇺🇸 dimitrivorbe This is the best time for the US government to ask for a drastic implementation of a Democratic system in Haiti. Too much corruption, abuse bad government supported by United States for too long. It’s time to give the Haitian people a chance 😇.

U.S. and Mexico fly Haitian migrants away from border as pressure builds on BidenMexico and the United States were on Wednesday preparing to fly more Haitian migrants away from chaotic U.S.-Mexico border camps, as pressure mounted on U.S. President Joe Biden to stop expulsions of Haitians to their poor, disaster-hit homeland. U.S. authorities have deported more than 500 Haitians since Sunday from a camp housing thousands of mostly Haitian migrants on the U.S. side of border, by the small Texan city of Del Rio. Such deportation flights back to Haiti would continue, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said. 500? What a joke.

Why thousands of migrants, many from Haiti, are stuck at Texas-Mexico borderUS should face the problem instead of avoiding the problem, lives are at risk when US are avoiding problem, situation come when US are closing themselves,US should open up and welcome them, temporary shelter is at least US can offer,Haitians will go back when Haiti return to peace. And everyone wants to help them, but they can't just walk in,not from that island. The conditions they came from could create a detrimental situation if they're not medically examined and quarantined before they enter the country. It sucks but its got to be that way. They aren't putting their lives at risk.....GEEZ
