These high school seniors raced away from graduation to fight a fireThese high school seniors raced away from graduation to fight a fire. The six students are volunteer members of the Port Jefferson Fire Department in New York. First things first... They should be removed from their duties because of a lack of diversity. This is just sad and proof we are going backwards in time. Shame all around. I’m sorry but isn’t it time firefighters no longer be ‘volunteer’ and be paid? Why are teenagers needing to do this job? To me this seems like a total failure of a city. Screw this ‘feel food’ story about ruining their graduation b/c grown adults won’t volunteer to do a job.
