The NYPD said that an 11-year-old girl who was shot in the Bronx on Monday was a bystander. She was taken to Lincoln Hospital where she died.The girl was with family near Westchester Avenue and Fox Street in thewhen gunfire erupted at about 4:50 p.m., striking her in the abdomen, police said. She was not the shooter's intended target.
"The passenger on the scooter began to shoot at the male," Rivera said. "One round traveled down Fox Street and struck an 11-year-old, who was standing in front of 993 Fox Street."
