Graham says Trump hopes to have impeachment over by State of the Union address

Washington Sen. Lindsey Graham on Sunday said President Donald Trump hopes to have the Senate impeachment trial"behind him" before he delivers the State of the Union address next month.

The South Carolina Republican's comments to Fox News come as the impeachment trial against the President convened last week with the reading of the two articles of impeachment in the Senate. On Saturday, House Democrats released their argument for why Trump should be removed from office by the Senate. Trump's legal team, meanwhile, released a response to Senate summons arguing against the articles on Saturday evening.

Dude Trump might get a pass in the Senate because it requires 67 votes to convict but he’ll never get this behind him. He did it, you know he did it & you’re looking the other way. What he does next will be worse because he’ll think he’s untouchable & the GOP will own it.

When the jurors coordinates with the defense lawyers then it's the defendant that chooses his innocence or guilt and not the evidence or witnesses. If you can't obey the oath you took then recuse yourself, a rigged trial is a betrayal of the constitution, the truth and the public
