One wonders if those state GOP members have heard of Jacobsen v Massachussets (1905). SCOTUS ruled that if the governor decides to impose a vaccine mandate, it carries the weight of law. A mask rule, for the same reasons as a vaccine, wouldn't be too hard to argue and win.
maybe he's is trying anything he can to either slow down or stop the spread of this virus in his state..going against the people to hopefully save lives is not popular, but it's not as though he is looking to gain financially..he wants the people in his state to be safe
