Google accused in lawsuit of illegally invading the privacy of millions of users by tracking their internet use from browsers set in “private” browsing mode.

Google was sued Tuesday in a proposed class action accusing it of illegally invading millions of users' privacy by tracking their internet use from browsers set in"private" browsing mode.

The lawsuit seeks at least $5 billion, accusing the Alphabet Inc. unit of illegally collecting information about what people are viewing online and where they are doing their browsing through various applications and website plug-ins, including Google Analytics and Google Ad Manager. "Billions of times a day, Google causes computers around the world to report the real-time internet communications of hundreds of millions of people to Google," according to the complaint filed in U.S. District Court in San Jose, California. The lawsuit, which said the proposed class likely includes"millions" of users, seeks damages per user of $5,000 or three times actual damages, whichever is greater.

Who benefits in such a class action suit? The law firms. America needs tort reform. Virtually all Democrat and many Republican politicians won't hear of it. Campaign contributions from the trial lawyers...

This isn’t even surprising. A few thoughts: Are google employees and executives similarly tracked or are they exempted? How is our data monetized? What countries get our data? Is there a file on me, friends and family somewhere in China? What happens to our information?

Google is asshoe!

Google has escaped notice because of Zuck's struggles but they are in many ways worse given the span of their product range.

How does your mind deceive you? ' Free yourself' your mind is obsessed with what other minds are thinking (mind reading). Your mind is horribly competitive and insecure, comparing you to the neighbors, co-workers, friends..
