Japan’s Nikkei was up 1.5%, while South Korea’s Kospi added 2.7% after the government proposed $28.9 billion in new stimulus

On Wednesday morning Hong Kong time, Japan’s Nikkei 225 was up 1.5%, trimming its year-to-date losses to about 4.2%. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 advanced 1.2%.
