regularly skip class on Friday and take to the streets to protest government inaction on climate change.
What is different this time around is just how young many female participants are, said Sherilyn MacGregor, a researcher specializing in environmental politics at the University of Manchester in England. Ariadne Papatheodorou of Athens said she looks up to her mother, Katerina Harvati, a prominent paleoanthropologist.
Isabelle Axelsson, 18, of Sweden has been walking out class weekly since December 2018 as part of the Fridays For Future strikes against climate change.Isabelle Axelsson,18, who has protested in Stockholm alongside Thunberg since December, said she understands why her friend has become a figurehead, although she says she sees her as more of a “catalyst.”
The issue of climate change also appeals to teens who fight for other causes because they say its consequences will undermine social progress of all kinds.
What will these kids think& do when they find out they've been lied to? I was told these things as a kid &feeling scared that the world was coming to an end. More than 50yrs later & not one of their predictions came true. Acid rain? Killer bees? Global warming? Nope. Not one.
They can start by returning their cel phones to the manufacturers, not take any flights anywhere, or bathe or watch tv or use anything electric, chop down their neighborhood trees for firewood, and hunt and farm for their own food.
Apparently they failed because I hear about climate change all the time. Not surprising considering they’re children.
AGW, Globalwarming, Climatechange or whatever is nothing more than the progressive greatest gift to themselves. Scare the masses, take control, build their vision of Utopia (hell). Thank God that more Americans are waking up and will refuse to go along with this charade.

All this talk about climate change has anyone talked to Chine, India, Russia and the other polluting countries? NO.
So did they swim there or use conventional methods of transport which use *gasp* fossil fuels!!!

Strike? Isn't that were people refuse to work until their work demands are addressed? These people are refusing to be educated until the world changes? I would be upset if I was paying the bill for their college
Nbc is dumb. Greta is one of us, a good one, the movement grows. Science compels character, character compels action.
Now if they every start talking about China, I'll actually belie they give a shit about the climate.
