Patrick Moster was caught on German television using derogatory language about Eritrean and Algerian cyclists.

In a statement on Thursday, the German Olympic Sports Confederation, known as the DOSB, said Moster"will no longer carry out his duties" in Tokyo and will soon return to Germany.

In a statement, DOSB president Alfons Hörmann said the German team is"convinced" Moster's public apology was"sincere.""Fair play, respect and tolerance are non-negotiable," Hörmann added.
