There are Freudian slips, and then there are what former President George W. Bush said Wednesday.

Speaking in Dallas at an event at Southern Methodist University’s Bush Center, Bush praised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a modern-day Winston Churchill, but it was the slip of the tongue that his speech will be remembered for.“‘The result is an absence of checks and balances in Russia, and the decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq.

Bush’s invasion of Iraq in 2003 — based on unfounded U.S. claims of weapons of mass destruction and leading to hundreds of thousands of deaths, according to some studies — has been called unjustified and brutal by some critics. Key Words : Colin Powell ‘scrubbed’ from U.N. testimony in 2003 all but 2% to 5% of flawed intelligence on Iraq’s weapons, longtime ally estimates

In his speech, Bush hailed Zelensky as “a cool little guy,” according to the Dallas Morning News, and called him “the Churchill of the 21st century,” noting his strength comes from his electoral legitimacy — another comment that detractors might consider ironic, in light of Bush’s disputed electoral victory over Democrat Al Gore in 2000.

This implies he has sone subconscious insight into reality…

I was young when he was the president. Don't have a big opinion on him. I do remember people would make fun of him for constantly messing up words. But who knows... maybe it was subconscious, lol.

The guy practice speeches about the Iraq war for 8 years. That wasn’t Freudian slip, that was just old habits.

I guess the truth does come out eventually! Supporting a war that has nothing to do with US because of the skin color! Hypocrisy at its finest!

Bush Dynasty, Its Influence Fading, Pins Hopes on One Last Stand in TexasARGYLE, Texas — His famous name shadows George P. Bush, the only member of the dynastic political clan now in public office, as he enters the final days of an uphill campaign to unseat Texas’ attorney general. To some Texans, the Bush family name is a badge of integrity, harking back to a bygone era of rectitude and respectful political debate. To others, it is the disqualifying mark of a Republican old guard that failed the party and betrayed its last president, Donald Trump. Bush would like to an uphill battle to unseat an indicted KenPaxtonTX with 5 federal charges - if life was normal KenPaxton would've resigned in 2015 I'm shocked that George P. is 46 since I still think of him as a kid. Truthfully, as far as Republicans go he's probably reasonable compared to the MAGA candidate. Although, he does say he'll vote for Trump if it comes down to it... Texas Politics Bush “ Its influence fading…”? You’re kidding, right? It was gone long ago. As for George P, he’s not worthy of any good will the Bushes still have with his cringe-inducing groveling to the insurrection inciting Trump. Just sickening.
