Key word ' official' players. Meaning they never served in the UNITED STATES military. We don't have ' officials' no one is elected or appointed to the United States Military. Except for the Secretary of Defense.
Unfortunately, Generals are trained to fight wars not political battles. Political Wars are ideological, no holds barred and families are not off limits.

The “Generals” have not come out of this looking very strong. Makes me wonder why they rose to the top of the military? I expected more pushback from them on clearly moral issues.
