GameStop apparently told managers that the retail chain has permission from the state to continue operations, but it is not among the businesses Massachusetts lists as an essential service. Businesses that remain open during lockdown against state orders face $300 fines per incident. That may be enough to curtail local mom and pop shops from breaking the rules, but it’s less clear whether it will act as a disincentive for larger corporations unwilling to comply with state ordinances.

GameStop reportedly tells employees to wrap hands in plastic bags - Business InsiderGameStop store employees are being told to wrap plastic bags around their hands as they continue to work during the coronavirus outbreak. Now do this for Target, Walmart & every grocery store We NEED to pressure big retailers that are still open to AT LEAST allow their employees to wear masks if they have them & feel safer wearing them. HR of these companies telling them that it scares customers is unacceptable! GameStop is a social service of similar importance to ship counselor on deep space missions. Peasants are dangerous when they bored, you wouldn't like us when the games stop. I’m honestly not sure how GameeStop isn’t an essential business during a quarantine lockdown. ?
