Hahaha... Well if you've read even one of the books you'd know that he loves to make such plot twists. Honestly I am happy that it will have a different ending the current one was clearly pushed before it's time.

Really shouldn’t do a TV series based on a book series that hasn’t ended yet. justsayin
He's said gave them an outline of how it was supposed to end. I thought he would change it because A) he wanted to lie and give them a bad ending because he was jealous or B) he wanted to test his ending and have time to change it if it bombed and then claim they did a bad job.
