French Health Care Workers Given A Raise, Honored On Bastille Day

After seven weeks of negotiations between the French government and unions, Prime Minister Jean Castex announced the agreement to provide $8.5 billion in raises, averaging about $208 a month for nurses and healthcare workers. The move comes as France is using Bastille Day to honor nurses, ambulance drivers, supermarket cashiers and others whose services have been vital during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Interesting how healthcare workers on the dangerous front lines briefly got praise from trump. He flew some planes over them. He then silenced the CDC, has no plan, did nothing to supply PPE, downplayed the threat, pooh-pooped masks, discredited experts....filled hospitals.
