To me, this sounds like an opportunity to keep your children away from you, and indoctrinate them for an extra 8hrs a week. Knowing this site, as well as the people pushing for this, I'd say that it's exactly the intent. One day when I have kids, I'm going to homeschool them.
Yes! The science shows that people actually accomplish more with a short week, at least in an office setting. Turns out treating people like slaves just makes them try to work less. But hell, I'll even take 4-10s over 5-8s if you insist hours = work.
Absolutely. Most people don't work too hard on Fridays anyway. A shorter week also keeps workers more focused because deadlines stay the same.
