David Plouffe said the idea some Democrats would choose a contested convention over supporting Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders' nomination is 'preposterous.'

"The other thing, [Sanders is] dominating the young vote, so the notion that we're going to say 'You got the most delegates, maybe a majority, but the party leaders have decided that the person who has gotten all that support from young voters -- the future of the party -- guess what, we're going to give it to somebody else based on electability,'" Plouffe scoffed.

"Bernie Sanders is showing real strength in the Latino community. If he has grown into the 30s [percentage of support] with a diverse electorate, then even if he doesn't grow anymore, he's just going to keep adding to his delegate pile every week." He suggested a few candidates should consider dropping out before Super Tuesday if they don't pick up delegates in Nevada or South Carolina.

That's fine Trump wins four more years Bernie will be to old to run. Then what for Bernie fans. The Democratic party I knew has gone to a bunch of participation trophy kids. But hey I'm good over here.

Bernie wins, this 2 biggest socialist countries are please with the result.

Let’s face it, the Leftist Party is crumbling before our eyes.

BlueNoMatterWho

The future of the Democrat party is to nominate an individual who refuses to even be a member? If so, what is the point of retaining the name “Democrat”? And what is the point of anyone who wants to register as a Democrat retaining their affiliation with such a party?

I Contest that only a Democrat should be the Democrat nominee, not a lifelong Independent, 3rd-party candidate taking over Our Party & dictating what Democrats should support. Sanders should have run as a 3rd-party Candidate & taken the votes He acquired as such! NOcarpetbaggers

Bernie’s team has no history of running functional organizations or down ballot races. This should go well.
