WASHINGTON - More than 1,000 former U.S. Justice Department officials on Sunday called for Attorney General William Barr to resign over his handling of the trial of a longtime adviser of President Donald Trump.
On Tuesday, the Justice Department abandoned prosecutors’ initial recommendation to give the veteran Republican operative Roger Stone seven to nine years in prison after he was found guilty in November of seven counts of lying to Congress, obstruction and witness tampering, prompting all four prosecutors to quit the case.
“Those actions, and the damage they have done to the Department of Justice’s reputation for integrity and the rule of law, require Mr. Barr to resign,” the letter said.Trump had heavily criticized the original sentencing request for Stone and the Justice Department subsequently abandoned it, instead deciding to make no formal sentencing recommendation.

That's a minuscule percentage of former Justice Dept. officials, fyi. But why are they outraged? They think Stone should get 9 yrs for lying to Congress, but Brennan & Clapper who did the same thing should serve no time? How abt some equal justice under the law?

IMO beyond the partisan hysteria, new Evidence show at least 2 Jurors in Roger Stone Trial were tainted & 1 lied under Oath in the pre-trial Forms & Judge Jackson knowing this still went on without replacing them.IMO Stone deserves a new Fair Trial, imagine it was against you !

Barr summarized the findings of the Mueller Report never mentioning that Mueller never cleared Trump for obstructing Justice. Barr dismisses any election interference in the whistle blower report. Barr investigates spying for Trump. Barr now investigates Rudy docs for Trump.
