reported this week that homeownership rates for single women dropped to 24.5% last year after hitting 28.6% in 2021 . This wipes out almost half of the gains single women had made since 2016, when the rate of homeownership was at an all-time low of 19.4%. Meanwhile, the homeownership rate for single men increased by 2.7% in 2022 to an overall 33.1%, and economists suggest that the home-buying landscape will remain hairy in the near term.
