“I was working with people I’d never met in real life and we were doing the whole thing over FaceTime and it was great because I couldn’t go in the studio at the beginning,” she explained, noting that the time difference between the U.K. and U.S. allowed her to work day and night. Twigs said she prefers collaborating on new music in person, but that she has"embraced" this new way of writing.
"I managed to find a sense of community over the Internet, which is unusual for me. I'm not a very Internet-y person," she said. Twigs added that being in quarantine has allowed her to explore new interests, such as learning how to read music and practicing the piano.
'I ended up making a whole album in quarantine,' FKATwigs said
