First US case of deadly coronavirus reported in Washington state, CDC says

in the last few weeks. Most of the cases were reported the central city of Wuhan. But it has spread to other areas of the country, and a handful of cases have been diagnosed in Thailand, South Korea and Japan.

Many of the initial cases were linked to a seafood market in Wuhan, but Chinese health officials said this week that human-to-human transmission has been confirmed. "We must be vigilant to ensure that adequate screening processes are in place at all US airports," Glatter said. The virus can be spread from animals to people. But it also can be spread by coughing, sneezing and through close contact with an infected person or an object carrying the virus.

This is where germaphobes like me, are actually lucky being as we are. Never thought I'd say that. But here we are... in 2020.

Why do so many deadly viruses seem to originate in China? They seem to come from birds, geese, ducks. Is it because of the relatively backward way they handle unsanitary conditions? Or over crowding. It's time for a change there. We end up with that Pet food!
